Donate today to make a significant impact on the lives of youth in the D/FW area through sport-specific mentoring from counselors whose teachings are based on Christian principles.

Building Believers, a 501c3 non-profit organization founded by Deon Hunter in the fall of 2001, is a Christian-Based Community Youth Sports Organization whose goal is to “Build Up” kids and their families through sport-specific training based on Biblical principles.
Through Building Believers, families are able to get involved in an array of programs geared toward personal and spiritual growth. Although the ability to play basketball is taught, it is more important that we give every child a fair chance to learn.

Our staff consists of former players and current high school coaches throughout the Dallas/Fort Worth Metroplex. Each staff member goes through a criminal background check prior to becoming employed. Staff members are then trained to teach, motivate and inspire children to believe in themselves as well as others.

We take pride in offering programs to communities and areas that are less fortunate and have greater need than others. Our community based approach allows us to teach children how to become more effective youth leaders in their own community. We also give back to the community by offering community service hours to middle and high school students such as the “Jennifer Sherwood Kids Helping Kids Program” and “Operation Clean Up.”

Throughout the year we offer weekend clinics, summer camps, high school team camp, team workouts, sports counseling, small group workouts and Friday night special event programs for kids and their families. We conduct special needs and clothing drives for the Lena Pope Home (youth home for special needs children), which is our community partner. Through banquets and donations, we continue to raise funds so that we can continue to provide the community and the kids with the necessary resources that they need to compete in life.
